About Agriculture Summit 2026
The Agriculture & Food Systems Transformation Summit 2026 represents the definitive national platform to review Kenya’s agricultural transformation journey, forge inter-governmental policy consensus, and agree on an actionable delivery compact for food sovereignty under BETA.
The Achievements
An evidence-based stocktaking of agricultural achievements, input subsidy impacts, value chain growth, farmer yields, digital infrastructure, and institutional reforms over recent years.
The Strategic Choices

The Delivery Compact

The Summit aligns with Kenya’s Vision 2030 and the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA) pillars of Agriculture, Job Creation, and Industrialization.
Advance National Food Sovereignty
Eliminate dependency on critical food imports by raising domestic crop, livestock, and aquaculture productivity.
Generate More & Better Jobs
Scale agri-SMEs, commercial processing, farm mechanization, and digital agriculture services for youth and women.
Enhance Farmer Incomes & Value Addition
Reinvigorate tea, coffee, edible oils, and horticultural value chains while de-risking agricultural financing.
Deepen Inter-governmental Synergy
Align National Ministry policies with County Government devolved implementation plans and budget priorities.
Expected Key Deliverables
A binding multi-stakeholder compact setting measurable five-year national production and investment targets.
Rollout framework for unified farmer registries, e-vouchers, soil mapping, and digital market data.
Commitments by financial institutions and development partners to unlock KES 100B+ in affordable farmer credit.
Three-Day Summit Structure
The proposed three-day Summit will combine high-level plenaries, keynote addresses, ministerial and gubernatorial roundtables, parallel breakaway sessions, a national exhibition, an innovation marketplace, a youth innovation challenge, a farmer and citizen townhall, and a closing commitments and awards segment.
